תקציר
אפשרויות הלימוד היום הן בלתי מוגבלות עד כדי כך שניתן כבר ללמוד קורסים שלמים דרך האינטרנט כאשר התלמידים והמורה יוצרים כיתה וירטואלית.
פרויקט זה מכיל מערכת סינכרונית ללימוד מרחוק דרך האינטרנט המאפשרת למורה ולתלמידים להיפגש בכיתה וירטואלית בזמן אמת, ללמוד, לשאול שאלות ולענות על שאלות בצורה טקסטואלית (צ'אט).
ניתן ליצור במערכת מס' מרחבי לימוד, כך שכל מורה וכל תלמיד יכולים להיות שייכים למספר מרחבים (מקצועות לימוד).
היתרון המרכזי של המערכת על פני מערכות דומות הקיימות בשוק הוא היכולת של המורה לקבל אינפורמציה בצורה אוטומטית לגבי רמת ידע התלמידים המשתתפים בשיעור בנושא הנלמד וכן להכניס הערות חדשות אותן יוכל לראות בשיעורים הבאים.
למורים ניתנות אופציות של ניהול מס' התלמידים, הכנסה והוצאת תלמיד מהמערכת, הכנסת מידע בזמן אמת על תלמיד מסוים (הערות על ידע או חוסר ידע של תלמיד, דברים לזכור לעתיד ועוד), שליפת נתונים לגבי רמת הידע של התלמידים (באילו נושאים הם מתקשים ובאילו מצליחים) דבר שיאפשר להעביר חומר ולשאול שאלות בהתאם לרמת הידע של התלמידים, חלוקת התלמידים לקבוצות לימוד ועוד.
במערכת ניתן להוציא דוחות נוכחות של התלמידים בשיעורים השונים וכן דוח הערות לגבי רמת הידע של התלמיד במקצועות הלימוד השונים.
כל תלמיד יוכל להתחבר למערכת, לבחור את השיעור בו ברצונו להשתתף, לבקש רשות דיבור, לשאול שאלות, להתכתב עם תלמידים אחרים ועוד.
ממשק המערכת הוא ממשק עברי מלא, דבר המקל מאוד על השימוש במערכת ומאפשר למשתמשים מגילאים שונים ושכבות אוכלוסייה שונות להשתמש במערכת ללא צורך בידע מוקדם בשפה האנגלית וללא קשיים וסיבוכים מיותרים.
בנוסף להתכתבות טקסטואלית בין המורה לתלמידים, למורה יש אפשרות להעלות קבצים לשרת המערכת במשך השיעור והתלמידים יוכלו להוריד את הקבצים ולצפות בהם.
הפרויקט ישתלב במערכת "קושיה", מערכת מקוונת לפיתוח, ניהול ושיתוף פריטי ידע, שפותחה ע"י המרכז לחקר חברת המידע באוניברסיטת חיפה.
כיום מערכת "קושיה" מאפשרת העברת מבחנים ומשימות אך ללא קשר מקוון בין התלמיד למורה.
Abstract
The learning options today are unlimited up to the extent that it is possible to learn complete courses through the Internet.
This project contains a synchronic system for distance learning through the Internet that allows teacher and students to meet in a virtual classroom in real time, to learn, ask questions and answer the questions in textual form (chat).
The system allows creating multiple learning spaces, enabling each teacher and each student to belong to one or more spaces (learning professions).
The main advantage of the system over similar systems, is the teacher's ability to automatically receive information about the students' knowledge on the subjects learned during the lessons. The teacher can also enter new comments that he or she will be able to see in future lessons.
The teachers have the capability to manage the number of students, to insert and remove students from the lesson, to split the students into learning groups, to enter information in real time about a specific student (comments about knowledge or lack of knowledge of a student, things to remember etc.). By pulling out information about the students' knowledge level (in which subjects they have difficulties and in which they succeed) the teachers may hand out learning material and ask questions at different levels.
The system gives the teachers the ability to create reports about the students' participation during the lessons and about the students' knowledge level on different subjects.
Each student will be able to connect into the system, to choose a lesson that s/he wants to join, to ask questions, chat with other students and more.
The system interface is in Hebrew. This makes the system easily usable and allows users of different ages and different intellectual levels to use the system without a former knowledge of English and without difficulties and unnecessary entanglements.
In addition to textual chat between the teacher and the students, the teacher has the ability to upload files to the system server and the students can download them and view them.
The project will integrate in the "QSIA" system, an online system for Question Sharing, Information and Assessment. It is used by students and teachers for learning, sharing and testing. It was developed at the center for the study of the information society at the university of Haifa.
Currently the "QSIA" system allows taking tests and assignments but without online connection between the teacher and the students.
